Name: Michele D’Alessio Born: Turin, Italy Started his musical career as drummer of the legendary Italian punk band Negazione. On a tour through Germany, he first made aquaintance with Berlin and later decided to relocate there. Living in Berlin and later in New York City inspired a new approach to music, and he experimented with styles like hip hop, trip hop, and more recently break beats. He made a name for himself as DJ, producer and promoter, organizing a variety of music events. DJ Baroxmix has been appearing internationally in a variety of clubs, such as Gargoyle Mechanique, Sunday Club with DJ Spooky, Knitting Factory with DJ Olive and His Crew in New York City; Garage in San Francisco, Roxy Club in Prague, as well as in numerous clubs in Berlin, Vienna and round Europe. The various influences assimilated are reflected in the eclectic DJ sets, which include break beats, downtempo, lounge music and funky electro beats.
